After a long break from international competitions the ITF hosted the World Championships 2021 in July of 2022. The venue was set in the Netherlands and was exceptional. The hotel accomodations, transportation to and from the venue, and the venue itself were top notch. As anticipated the event ran smoothly and back up systems were in place and ready to be implemented in the event there were unforseen circumstances to be dealt with. It was wonderful to see competitors, coaches, umpires, and spectators from across the globe reuniting in the true spirit of Taekwon-Do. The USA did well bringing home the following medal count.
GOLD - Individual Events 8 Team Events 5
SILVER - Individual Events13 Team Events 6
BRONZE - Individual Events 18 Team Events 3
Total medals brought home 53. The total number of USA competitors competing in the Championships was 51. The USA was the 2nd overall country.
